Q: Dear Mr. Mel Bartholomew, I 'm writing to comment that I am a member of the LDS Church, and I work in the Direction of Politics for People with Different Capacities that depends of the Ministry of Work and Human Development of the Province of Buenos Aires. In a visit I made to the offices of the Church in Buenos Aires I got a copy of the video "Introducing Square Foot Gardening."

I wish to apply your method in 300 institutions that depend of the Direction of Politics for People with Different Capacities (area in which I work as technical consultant in Gardens and Adaptive Technologies). That is why I'm writing to inform you that I will use it and spread it, teaching it in our institutions. These institutions tend to disabled people in services called Day Care Centers, Homes and Protected Workshops.

Le escribo para comentarle que soy miembro de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de Los Ultimos Dias, y trabajo en la Direccion de Politicas para Personas con Capacidades Diferentes, del Ministerio de Desarrollo Humano y Trabajo de la Pcia. de Buenos Aires, en una visita que realize a las oficinas de la Iglesia en Buenos Aires obtuve una copia de su video" la Huerta en un Pie cuadrado".
Y deseo aplicar su metodo en 300 instituciones que dependen de la Direccion de Politicas para Personas con Capacidades Diferentes ( Area en la que me desempeño como asesor tecnico en el tema de Huertas y Tecnologias Adaptadas) es por este motivo que le escribo para informarle que lo voy a utilizar y difundir enseñandolo a nuestras instituciones, estas instituciones atienden a personas discapacitadas en servicios llamados Centros de Dia, Hogares y Talleres Protegidos.
Desde ya le agradesco su atención y me seria de gran valor el recibir material informativo sobre su trabajo.

A: Dear Mr. D,  I was so pleased to receive your letter. I asked a friend to translate it for me and I hope you can read this letter in English. I am just thrilled that you have been able to get a copy of the SFG video. We have just made a new Master for duplication and wonder how good the copy was that you saw.

Could we send you a new improved DVD Master with both English and Spanish and soon to be Portuguese on separate tracks. That way you could have duplicate copies made for each of the locations you will be using it at.

This video and the SFG Method is my gift to the Church so you are free to use it in any way you think can help the people. You will be interested in knowing that this all started when Brother Larry Busby who was on mission in Central America wrote us and asked for permission to have the video translated into Spanish.

He then used much of his own funds and the result is the Church was able to make 2,000 copies and send them everywhere. The copy you saw must be one of those.   By copy of this letter I have asked Larry to get in touch with you (he speaks Spanish while I do not ) and also to send you any of our material we have in Spanish. I'm very pleased with your use of SFG as it is ideal for anyone with any kind of a handicap.
