Looking for Volunteers in Orange County, CA

Greetings!

Welcome to a New Year with Square Foot Gardening! SFG is a great way to acheive some New Years' resolutions like... Save Money, Save Time, Live Healthier, Loose Weight, and Help the Environment. Join us in making this the best year ever for all of us.

New Monthly video with Patti the Garden Girl

Last August, we were in Chicago at the Independent Nursery convention and met a young couple from Boston who are making great in-roads with urban gardening particularly the generation X and Y ages. We have talked with Patti "The Garden Girl" and her husband Rob who is a professor of Video at a local college and decided that our missions to have more people start SquareFootGardens was so similar that we should join forces and support each other.

This started last November in Boston when Mel went to visit them at their garden right in the center of Boston. Chickens, rabbits, and goats included. We decided to make a monthly Video Blog together on what to do this month around the country. Of course it had to be fairly general but will convey some valuable insights and information from both parties to the gardening public. The January Blog is being posted on our website or visit this link directly.

When you watch the video, please do us a favor and respond to the show by clicking on the stars just below the video to rate it a 5 Star Video, add it your favorites in youtube, forward it to all your friends and family, and post impression or comments. What this does is help the search engines recognize the number of viewings and takes notice if they are high, which will then improve our Google search, enabling more people to find our Square Foot Gardening website. Of course you could also just call up or e-mail all your friends to send them to our website: www.squarefootgardening.com

GARDEN SHOP OPENING!

The Garden Shop has been closed for the season but will be re-opened on February 16th. We expect this year to have even more and better selections for garden boxes and other gardening needs.

We will send you a link in the Feb newsletter so you can preview before the general public and have first choice of all the products to order.

TRANSLATION INTO OTHER LANGUAGES

Sprechen Sie Deutsch?
¿Habla Español?

In the past, several volunteers around the world have helped translate our Home page, What is, and How to page into a different languages. You can find the list by going to our homepage www.squarefootgardening.com

If you can read any of the languages or have friends in other parts of the world who could, please send them the link and ask them to proof-read what we have posted. Check out the Russian one, it's really cool looking.

We are always interested in making any corrections or updating any information so we are looking for volunteers to translate our website into any other languages.
