Turn Your SFG Knowledge Into Money!

If you are interested in turning your Square Foot Gardening knowledge into a business, or even if you want to spread the SFG message for fun...you need to become a certified Square Foot Gardening instructor.

This Package Includes All of the Following Materials:

• CD with instructions, lesson outline, files, posters, quiz and teacher files
• DVD with videos including: 3 minute trailer, 10 minute intro, and 2 teaching videos. .
• CD of 45 minute, 3-hour SFG and international PowerPoint Presentation for classes.

Required Reading: You must read the All New Square Foot Gardening Book and study all parts of the Square Foot Gardening website.

Square Foot Gardening Certification Process

1. Read and study the All New Square Foot Gardening book and the Square Foot Gardening website
2. Watch the 3-minute SFG trailer and the 10 min Introducing SFG Video
3. Fill out the accompanying study guide – open book quiz
4. Take pictures of your completed Square Foot Garden, demonstrating an understanding and implementation of the SFG method
5. Submit a video of yourself in a short teaching situation. No more than 10 minutes of any aspect of SFG you choose. This does not need to be in front of a formal class and can be a casual video teaching just a few family members or neighbors right in your own home or garden.
6. Send a copy of the completed study guide, pictures of your garden, and a short 10 minute video of you teaching SFG material to:

After You Turn In Your Materials

We will evaluate your Square Foot Gardening knowledge as well as your ability to implement it and present it to others. If there are any adjustments or suggestions to be made before you receive certification, you will be notified.

Upon successful completion of all the above steps, you will receive an official certificate from the SFG Foundation indicating that you are a certified Square Foot Gardening Instructor and officially endorsed by the SFG Foundation.

Business Opportunities

As you become certified, not only will you become more knowledgeable and able to create your own spectacular Square Foot Garden, but you will also have the opportunity to officially teach in your community and elsewhere. You can collect class fees as well as have your speaking and teaching engagements listed on our website. If desired, you could also be forwarded teaching opportunities we receive for your area. You will also be able to take SFG and use it in connection with humanitarian projects throughout the world. If you want to make a business of SFG, we have several attractive opportunities available for a low cost.

System Requirements for Teacher Certification Course

• Mac or PC
• DVD reader
• Microsoft Office 2003 or newer or compatible software that can read .doc and .docx format.
• Powerpoint viewer. Many can be found online for free.
• For images, you need a program that can read .jpg, .pdf, .pub or .ai.
